Got a ds-2cd2432f -iw from ebay. Sticker say firmware v5.1.2 bld140116.
Seller says he tried to update and now doesn't work.
SAPD doesn't see it.
Connected cam and computer alone on switch. IP 192.0.0.128. Fired up Hik tftp.
Doesn't get past, Device[192.0.0.64] test tftpserver.
Tried it with windows 10 and vista.
Any suggestions?

Does the link detect light on the switch come on?
If it comes on, goes off after a couple of seconds, then back on again, that's a sign that the bootloader is active.

The Hikvision tftp updater can be unreliable over PoE. How is the camera being powered?
Try disabling the Windows firewall.
What firmware version (digicap.dav) did you place in the tftp folder?

You'll be able to see in detail what's going on, and likely recover the camera, if you connect to the serial console.
For that you need -
A 4-pin 1.5mm JST ZH wired connector.
A USB to TTL serial convertor such as a PL2303TA-based one.

Detect light on switch comes on goes off twice then stays on.
Camera powered by 12v. Not Poe.
Firewall disabled.
Tried brickfixv2EN and CN. And 5.1.2 firmware.
Time to get that converter to try I guess.
