Hello,

I've working for couple of years with some Hikvision camera's, i really like this camera, but not i have a problem with one of the camera's.

This cameras are saving data on my NAS. I've a DS-2CD2155F-IWS and it's working for 2 years now without problem. Today i wanted to access it via the webpage (192.168.1.11:80) but i get an ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. The page is not loading. Also when i try this with my phone, same result.

Settings:
DS-2CD2155F-IWS
IPv4 Address: 192.168.1.11
Status: Active
Port: 8000
Software Version: V5.4.15build 160608
IPv4 Gateway: 192.168.1.1
HTTP Port: 80
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
DSP Version: V7.3 build 160603

PC:
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.15(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

I my router, i also can see the IP of the camera: 192.168.1.11

I had SADP from Hikvision on my Windows computer, but i can not find it anymore on : Tools-Hikvision Europe

Only for MAC, what happened with the Windows Version? Should i use another tool?

I can see the camera with SADP, but i can not change anything, i have the correct password, i also get: connection time out.

When i ping the ip of the camera from my computer:
Pinging 192.168.1.11 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

I tried to plugoff the POE cable, but no result.
My PC and camera are on the same subnet.

But the strange thing is, in Synology, everything is fine and the camera is recording fine! '

What can i do? I really don't know.

I think it's a bit the same as in: Cannot access Hikvision Cameras

I could try a factory reset, but i want to try other things first because camera is placed on a location i couldn't access easily.

PS: i never did a firmware restore/update or something like that

Thanks in advance.

A curious problem, from the good detail that's been supplied.
Are you sure you don't have any network protection anti-virus or similar that's taken a dislike to the camera?

I can see the camera with SADP, but i can not change anything
What does SADP show for the firmware version and status?
do you think this may be a candidate for the brick recovery tool?
Not for that model unfortunately, it's not an R0 series camera.

A suggestion, if you feel like adding what can be a useful problem-solving tool to your Windows PC :
Download and install the nmap network scan tool. Windows | Nmap Network Scanning
At a command prompt, use
nmap 192.168.1.11
and see what it comes up with in terms of listening and filtered ports.

Thanks @alastairstevenson for reply.

Nothing else then before. I only set the firewall on Synology on, but that hasn't to do with that...

What does SADP show for the firmware version and status?
Firmware = V5.4.15build 160608
Status = Active

nmap 192.168.1.11
and see what it comes up with in terms of listening and filtered ports.
Result:
Starting Nmap 7.70 ( Nmap: the Network Mapper - Free Security Scanner ) at 2018-12-30 18:26 West-Europa (standaardtijd)
Nmap scan report for 192.168.1.11 (192.168.1.11)
Host is up (0.00s latency).
All 1000 scanned ports on 192.168.1.11 (192.168.1.11) are filtered
MAC Address: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (i changed) (Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology)
Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 24.73 seconds

Scanned ports: 1000
Filtered ports: 1000
Open ports: 0
Closed ports: 0

What can i do with this?

Is it possible that Hikvision system blocked my internal IP address? I can't access the webpage of the camera via another PC of iphone...

I don't understand why i cannot change anything anymore with SADP, it get a time-out:

All 1000 scanned ports on 192.168.1.11 (192.168.1.11) are filtered
Assuming there is nothing in the PC or in the networking between the PC and camera blocking access -

That shows there is no web service, no RTSP service, no SSH, no 'media' service etc
That would explain why the browser cannot access the camera.
But it's still sending data to the NAS. Very odd.
Have you tested with another PC to see if you get the same result?
Can you ping the camera IP address from the NAS shell?

But what firmware version does SADP show? If it still finds it.

And are the PC and camera both wired to a switch or router ethernet ports?

Yes, very strange

Yes, i tested with 2 iphone -> no webinterface

Can you ping the camera IP address from the NAS shell?
Don't know how i can ping from my NAS to the camera, but i can add the camera when i enter the ip-address of the camera.

V5.4.15build 160608

CAMERA -> POE ADAPTER -> SWITCH
The PC is via WiFi

I fixed the problem, very strange, but i will explain what i did:
- Connect the camera directly to my notebook with LAN cable (so no router or switch or internet connection!)
- looked up via SADP ip-address of my camera: 192.168.1.11 subnet 255.255.255.0
- changed my LAN-adapter settings of my notebook to: 192.168.1.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 dhcp/dns: 192.168.1.1
- After that, i was able to access the webpage of the camera again via my notebook (via http://192.168.1.11:80)
- i reset the camera to factory settings
- Done

Changing something with SADP tool is still not possible, don't know why. I always get the error: Time-Out

Thanks for helping!

Superseded by your post above. Ignore.

The PC is via WiFi
Can you repeat the nmap test with the PC wired to the switch?
Yes, i tested with 2 iphone -> no webinterface
That's also via WiFi.

Don't know how i can ping from my NAS to the camera
A NAS will generally allow command-line access.
Example :

Code:
alastair@PC-I5 ~ $ ssh admin@192.168.1.202
admin@192.168.1.202's password:

[~] # ping 192.168.1.102
PING 192.168.1.102 (192.168.1.102): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.1.102: seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.289 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.102: seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.413 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.102: seq=2 ttl=64 time=0.439 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.102: seq=3 ttl=64 time=0.247 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.1.102: seq=4 ttl=64 time=0.447 ms
^C
--- 192.168.1.102 ping statistics ---
5 packets transmitted, 5 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 0.247/0.367/0.447 ms

Thank you very much for helping @alastairstevenson !! I fixed the problem, see my post above.

I've have another question about Hikvision camera's. With all my Hikvision camera's i'm not able to get the sound working.
My setup:
- Hikvision camera connected with LAN-cable to POE-adapter
- Hikvision camera added to my Synology NAS
- In Hikvision camera settings, my audio settings are:

My Synology settings are:

Does somebody know what the reason could be that my sound is not working?
Also when i play the live-view with the Synology app (DS CAM) i only hear a 'zooming' sound..

Thanks in advance.

Check that you have Video/Audio selected in the Video tab under Video configuration.

**edit**
Also - the dropdown has 'Line In' suggesting there is Audio in but no built in microphone.

i checked and video/audio is selected:

The model is DS-2CD2155F-IWS (it has an "S" in the modelname, so it should support sound)

Do you have an external microphone? That's what the 'Line In' selection requires.
No, i don't have an external microphone connected. Is that necessary? Does the camera doesn't have a built-in microphone? I just want that sound of the camera is recorded...

There is only one cable connected to the camera: a POE network-cable

In the Audio tab - is 'Line in' the only choice in the dropdown?
You'd be looking for Microphone or similar.

Yes that’s the only choice
OK, so to get audio you'd need an external microphone to be connected.
There are quite a few general posts on the topic of external microphones - powered and unpowered, pros and cons.
The forum search should provide some useful info.
