Hi All,
My system is set up to record clips to an external 4TB hard drive. I'm up to 95% and want to swap it out for another disk. Several questions.
1. Can I just unplug the old one and plug in the new one? -Does BI handle the database etc and re-initialise all the storage folders on the new HD?
2. How can I view the stored BI files on the old (full) hard drive?

Thanks
Pete

First I would write down the exact folder names on the full (old) drive.
Swap out the old (full) drive with the new (empty) drive and in Windows Explorer, create the exact folders on the new (empty) drive.
If it's a brand new drive, format it first.

2. How can I view the stored BI files on the old (full) hard drive?
Plug in the old (full) drive (assuming USB), locate the folders in Windows Explorer and when you double-click ("run") a .bvr file it should launch the clip viewer in Blue Iris.

Thanks Tony! Nice and concise. Hope you're all safe and well there down south.
You're welcome.
I forgot to mention that I'd shut down Blue Iris while working with the drives, otherwise (and it won't hurt anyway) you'd have Blue Iris "repair database" when you're done.

Thanks for the well wishes and although we're not as far south as you, it has been in the mid 90's here with humidity to match...whew!
