Hello,

Using blue iris on two Foscam cameras and one Cisco camera. We had a Dell windows 7 box hard drive get corrupt and the operating system would not boot up. We did recovery disks on the computer however wouldn't boot up. We removed the harddrive which can be access on another computer. We had to replace computer to a newer and faster business class P.C. but would like to know is there a way we could install the software on new computer and import the old settings? The security system has been down for two weeks and we are still receiving the alerts via email still. I had a IT guy install the first set-up and it would be nice if we could import the settings we had on the older computer. We would like to keep the older settings such as panning, recording times, and alarm alerts. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Best,
Mike

You might be able to use a 3rd party Windows Registry editor to open the registry on the broken/non-booting Windows install. Then you can export the Blue Iris settings and re-import them on the new machine.

It was a real pain in the **** the last time I had to recover data from a registry this way, but it can be done.
