I used the dahua config program to set up my new dahua camera. The camera is
connected as a poe camera with a 12v injector. When I do the initial
search with the program I get 192.168.0.239. This is correct since I can
view the connections on my router.

Next I try a web log in and get the message "cant reach this page".

Next I try to modify the ip to 192.168.0.108 . The ip does not change
and a triangle with a red mark appears by the ip.

What is wrong? How do I get a proper configuration so I can log in using
the web browser?

Thanks,

Greg

The default ip address should be 192.168.1.108, set, on your laptop, a static ip address like 192.168.1.100/24, connect the camera at 192.168.1.108, and set it to DHCP, or set an ip address consistent with your current network.
Cheers,

my default gateway is 192.168.0.1 (not 192.168.1.0). Therefore the dahua ip is 192.168.0.239 (not 192.168.1.239).

Yes, you can... setup up TCP/IP V4 as in the picture.

Direct connect the Dahua to your PC.

Reboot.

Then in any browser type 192.168.1.108.

Set PW and after change IP to your network.

The camera works fine. Your suggestions were great which I then used to show the new camera was working. I then changed the lan ip address from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 on my asus router. Thanks everyone.

bump, this thread should be stickied, almost everyone experiences this even after a camera is reset to factory default ;)

I use dot1x, with auth failed vlan XX, this VLAN XX is the192.168.1.0/24 network, so, I can reset one camera at time, and reconfigure without too much troubles, if needed.
