Connecting 5 camera to 8 channel/4 POE NVR

Hello friends,

First of all I am newby at the forum but I was reading the forum more than 1 week.

I want to setup an IP camera system to my wife's store. I am Software Engineer but it will be first experience with cameras.

We want to buy 5 camera ( 4 x IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS and 1 x IPC-HDW4431C-A), 6 TB WD Purple HDD and 1 NVR.

Because NVR prices are really expensive to me, I am about the choose NVR4108-P-4K.

Can I connect 5 camera to NVR4108-P-4K? I am thinking to connect 4 camera directly to NVR's Poe ports, and 1 camera directly to Modem and Power. Is it technically ok? And lastly do you advice any other systems?

Yes as long as all the cameras are on the same network, meaning 4 cameras directly connect to the NVR4108 and another connected to the same network. you could have up to 16 camera .


I would buy a POE switch . Connect POE switch to cameras then POE switch to NVR
