Hi,

I am looking over the list of possible connections for this doorbell, I am not seeing any "feedback button" that would provide feedback if the button of the doorbell has been pressed. Or am I wrong?

Can the doorbell be connected to an existing mechanical chime?

Thanks!

Hi Dana2, you have posted lots of questions on the VTO2000A ;-) You should have grouped them into one topic, much easier to answer.

As you have noticed, I got the accompagnied VTH1550CH, the CH version does have an "alarm output". I found on the net somewhere a tutorial on how to hook an old school mechanical chime bell to that. But as I don't have such a bell, I haven't implemented it.

On the VTO, there are some outputs too (to switch to relais), but not suitable for gongs.

Indeed :) It seems that this doorbell won't work properly without a VTH H/W monitor, plain and simple!
