Constant problems with the Android app

Does anyone else have constant connectivity problems with the app?

1) If using the Android wallpaper camera widget, the widget does not refresh
2) Sometimes fails to connect entirely. Rebooting the Blue Iris server seems to help
3) If connected, very choppy playback, or just quits working altogether

Usually if there is a noise outside and I open the app to see what it was, the event is completely over by the time the app starts working. This seems to happen whether on wifi or LTE.

try resinstalling the app..you should not be having these problems...what is your upload speed? what have set the max upload speed in the webserver to?

Max bitrate is 512 kbps. Upload speed is 2.0 mbps. My connection is completely idle.......

do you have this issue when you are connected to your local network?

Android on wifi or LTE - Widget will refresh only if you have gone into the app and then exit. Does not background refresh.
Android on wifi - videos at least play somewhat, but slowly, like half speed.
Web browser or directly on server - works much better.

wifi on your own network or remote?
uninstall and reinstall the app.
