Correct Setup for Dahua Epoe NVR

I currently have a Modem --> Asus 1900 Router --> 24port network Switch <--patch panel

Can I just plug my Dahua EPOE NVR into the 24port Switch or is it better to directly plug it into the Asus router (or it doesn't matter)

Since I have the Dahua EPOE NVR (NVR5215-16P-4KS2E) and 8 EPOE Dahua Cameras, I would like to test everything without plugging into my LAN network.

*I assume I can without any issues?

*I assume the NVR will create IP for the cameras since it's a POE NVR, but do I need to set any network settings on the NVR?

*What happens when i do plug it into the network after setting up the camears, would I encounter any issues with the NVR and Camera IP?

Yes you should be able to test without your LAN connection

The NVR will create a random IP and port for viewing the cameras via its internal switch. You shouldnt have to change any network settings. Im assuming the NVR already has an IP assigned of 192.168.1.108.
