To All:

I'm trying to stream video to my weather website. I try the http://IPADDRESS:554/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=1 with no such luck. I have the router port forwarding 554. I can use http://ipaddress:80XX and sign in and setup the camera. What is the rookie here doing wrong? Please assist.. Thank you.

P.S. Dahua is a really nice camera, but they really need to overhaul their Support website. It is absolutely worthless.

My camera of the same make/model outputs its stream via RSTP @ rtsp://ipaddress:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&tcp and only will play through VLC, it wont work embedded into a website without transcoding the stream into a compatible web format.

Dahua cameras are typically resold or sold directly to installers; You'll find the same level of documentation (ie NONE) from the manufacturers.. These are basically OEM components, you either learn on the job or through industry publications/training. They are not packaged and marketed to end consumers, not directly by Dahua.. With OEM Products the Support/Warranty and Customer service are all provided by the seller, so choose whom you buy from wisely if you need high levels of support.

Thanks nayr for the response. Looks like you have to spend a lot of money on Axis, Panasonic to get support. I think I will stay with Foscam. Even though they do not have a 3MP, 1.3 will do. They have been excellent in responding to me from either the Forum or from the main office in China.
