You mention another type (1642) in your message/subject line.

I suggest you install Configtool (under Dahua Toolbox), let it find the NVR and hopefully you can trigger password reset from there.

Good luck!

Thank you for your answer
My mistake i was talking about an nvr
DAHUA 4216-8p for 8 poe.

I installed already yesterday the config tool firmware but
I am not able to detect my nvr in local network.
I use the generic ip adress 192.168.1.108
And nothing !
I turn off all the fire walls
Please what do you think about this ?
Best regards

And did you put your pc in the same network as the NVR (eg 192.168.1.250) and try to ping it? If that works, try to http://192.168.1.108 into it.

Tip of the day: bypass all your network gear: plug in an ethernet cable FROM your laptop TO the NVR "en direct", put in 192.168.1.250 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 in your ETHERNET card (not your wifi - best to disable that one temporary). If ping works: you're set for Configtool reset.

Bonne chance!
