I have an 8-port dahua nvr and a non-dahua 4MP IP poe cam (SIMICAM) (Onvif info: {model: P05H42, manufacturer: Vatilon})
I want to connect it via the nvr's poe switch instead of a router (for safety reasons), so I can record feed from it and also be able to remotely access the camera by clicking on the E icon from the web interface. However, when I enable DHCP on the camera the nvr won't assign an IP to it and so it's never found through CAMERA > REGISTRATION > DEVICE SEARCH. I have to manually assign an IP to the camera (e.g. 10.1.1.11 or use the default 192.168.1.64) to be able to add the device (only ONVIF and General works as the "Manufacturer" option, but not Private), but then I can't open the camera's remote config page since the nvr tries to navigate to the LAN address when I access the NVR from the internet and also the cam won't sync date and time with an NTP server due to lack of internet access. Is there a way to make the cam work properly behind the POE switch?
