Dahua NVR VGA and HDMI port - Can this plug to lcd mon for permanent live view?

I'll be ordering the NVR5216-16P-4KS2E and wondering if I can use the VGA/HDMI ports on the back to connect it to a monitor to permanently display a live view feed of 4-6 cameras. I plan to mount the nvr in a closet and then use a HDMI extender over CAT5e and run it to a wall mounted lcd monitor. If the Dahua nvr software does not allow this live view mode then I will have to use another PC to run smartpss and then connect to the monitor...

Yes. That is its primary purpose.
