Dahua Starlights w/storage on Hikvision NVR

There was some conversation in another thread about using the Dahua Starlights with a microSD in a Hikvision system.

I have one of these currently, sorting out how it can be made to work well in concert with my Hikvision NVR.

Curious what others have learned?

I tried using Dahua cameras with a LTS(Hikvision) NVR. The video recorded fine, but neither motion detection or IVS events were detected by the NVR. This was over a year ago, so there's always a chance that the onvif implementation was improved on one or both ends, but that was my experience. The path of least resistance for me was to go to a Dahua NVR. The big bucks are in the cameras. The money impact was less because I use an external POE switch.
