I recently installed V4.002.0000000.7.R, Build Date: 2024-07-17 firmware on my NVR 5208-8p-4KSE2 (cameras are IPC-HDW223`E-2S) and noticed that the zoom feature only allows zooming fully out or fully in. Previous versions of firmware allowed partial zooms in and out.

May be your browser or something to do with those specific model cameras. I'm not seeing it across a number of systems

Same thing happens in Edge IE mode. Interesting. In Palemoon a box pops up when I try to zoom stating "Need to control PTZ in the realtime monitoring status. " . Not sure why this is happening, I am in "Live mode when trying to zoom.

Try installing SmartPSS lite and using it to review footage and adjust zoom, it’s more better anyway for that

Just tried it from thr NVR Web live interface on my 5216-16P-4K2SE (same NVR as yours) and no problem, same on smartPSS

Might be something those cameras dont like? What model are they again?

It must be the firmware upgrade. Cameras zoomed great with the older firmware, and they zoom great when I directly access them with IE.

One of the many reasons we say to update with caution.

Many times we see posts here of someone updating a camera or NVR or Blue Iris and it breaks a feature someone was using.

Very true! That was why I was very hesitant to upgrade from V3.216.0000002.0.R.20181106 to most recent version. The only reason was for security updates.
I did send an email to Dahua support notifying them of the issue (which probably will fall on deaf ears and not be dealt with).
