Hello,

I have a problem connecting cctv camera to xvr.
Connection immediately interrupts or shows black screen.

Are xvr and camera capable with each other?

Sorry I see you called out model in your title.

That should work just fine. Does the NTSC/PAl setting match in both the camera and the XVR?

That XVR is rated at 1080p recording, that CVI camera is 4MP, that could be your problem. You could try setting the resolution on the camera in the XVR interface to 1080p...

Does the camera itself let you change output to 1080p?

Try to pull up the camera OSD menu and see if it allows you to change resolution... if not and it’s streaming 4MP then that’s likely your problem

To access the camera's OSD menu follow these steps.

Choose the camera on your XVR, double click to bring to full screen, then follow the steps. You may see black instead of an image, thats ok, you should still be able to access the OSD menmu.

Currently in Auto mode I get infinite loading.
In CVI mode I get artifacts.
Can't get black screen anymore.

I have tried to change resolution blindfold in PTZ menu.
But I didn't succeed.

I have to admit Ive never had a CVI camera not be instantly recognized by the HCVR/XVR. I'm betting it has to do with the 4MP output of the camera and the XVR only capable of 1080p....

Never used that tool, it appears to only change the format, doesnt seem to give you access to the entire OSD menu

I suppose if you had access to an XVR that supported 4MB+ you could access it, reduce output to 1080p and then plug it into your XVR. Depending on where you bought it may be best to return and get a 1080p camera.

To be extra certain there is no other problem, you could buy a cheap low end Dahua CVI 1080p cam and plug it in.

2MP are working fine, I have some.
As I know AHD supports switching resolution too?
For me it is easier to find non dahua DVR that supports 4MP.
