There's a long thread somewhere around and that mainly relates to Dahua NVR software version 3.

Here I have a Dahua NVR52-16P-I. This model has a built in 16 port POE switch.
Accessing the cameras through the NVR is the same as NVR software 3, you use the Internet Explorer icon to access the camera directly through the NVR (E.g, /nvr_ip:camera_port).

I set this Axis camera up as an 'Axis' manufacture in the options. I gave the root password to the NVR for logging in.
It seems that Dahua NVR's now support 3rd party cameras to be accessed through the NVR's switch. This is working without Edge in IE mode.

Device name and cam name does not show however.
I cannot seem to change the channel name, it will stay as 'CAM 2'.

I have tried adding my generic AliExpress camera as a branded device, however the NVR does not allow this to be passed through (I tried every 3rd party brand listed).

Interestingly, when performing a device search I notice that this Axis camera appears as 'ONVIF'.

I cannot access the Axis camera through the NVR when it is added as 'ONVIF'.

Almost all camera image settings are avaliable:
The frame rate setting seems to over report what the Axis camera is set to occasionally (example, this photo).
