I have a DH-SD6CE245U PTZ that will not move up and down anymore. It is roughly three months old and I have reset the PTZ several times. I noticed on the playback it was acting normal and then went into a down position of about 35 degrees. I can move it side to side and spin it. It will not operate up or down.

I watched the playback and it happened in the daytime and there was no activity on this camera of any on my front yard. In other words I have ruled out anyone playing with it and the yard guys.

Device Type DH-SD6CE245U-HNI
System Version V2.623.0000000.17.R.E4.4510.UN.NR, Build Date: 2019-01-19
WEB Version V3.2.1.687530
ONVIF Version 16.12(V2.4.5.668993)
PTZ Version V2.400.0000000.10.RHNAD_171212_5259

Security Baseline Version V1.3

Anyone else run into this issue? Thanks!

Silly question but have you ever cut power to the camera or just soft reset it via the web interface?

I've seen an issue with one of my PTZs twice now that won't go away with a soft reboot, but requires a full cold reboot so total power loss to the camera for 30 seconds or so.

If you haven't tried that already it's worth a go, otherwise if you have it's possible one of the servos is dead or a belt has slipped off somewhere.

Yes. I actually had to move it by hand and now is working again. I have no idea why or what happened.

I would check the belts inside, in one of my cams when I received it new, one of the belts was rubbing hard on a wiring harness. Glad I caught it before install.
