Did I Miss Something or Is Eco Savvy 4.0 (Pro AI) New ?

I was just taking a look at the Dahua International site again and see an Eco Savvy 4.0 (Pro AI) - https://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/allProducts/1/7107. I could have sworn I've not seen this before in the past few weeks. Anyone else seen this or are they new ? @EMPIRETECANDY can you confirm that either these are new or I just didn't see them before ?

Was looking at the 5241-Z12E (IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E) which states:

1/2.8" Starvis 2MP
0.00221Lux/F1.5 ( Color,1/3s,30IRE)
0.02053Lux/F1.5 ( Color,1/30s,30IRE)
0Lux/F1.5 (IR on)

or the

Again, if I missed this particular series just let me know and I'll remove the thread :) On the flip side if this is new, hopefully some further changes coming to the lineup and a potential new Starlight to compliment or improve (if possible) on the fantastic 5231.

@fenderman thanks for confirming that my eyesight hadn't played tricks on me ;) Might be some interesting ones here to play with to shake out the specs a little more. @EMPIRETECANDY maybe you have some further info on these cams or have plans to get any in for testing against the 5231's etc ?

Very Interesting...especially the models with built-in white LED's.
I have one of the CVI Full Color turrets with the white LED's and really like it (HAC-HDW2249T-A-LED). They're not motion activated like the active deterrence series, they come on much like IR in a regular camera with settings for sensitivity and strength. Very handy in certain spots

Never played with the white LED variants before but was considering one for the LPR cam variants that Dahua sells (looking to do a test between one of those and the Z12 you and I use). From your comments @bigredfish it sounds like the white LED's do add a dynamic that is favorable over the standard IR ?

As far as I can tell its an either/or thing. If it has the white light LED's you sacrifice IR.

They dont seem to have the white LED versions in VF though, only fixed 2.8/3.6/6mm. However, at least according to the specs, the new model IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E is a bit better low light than the 5231E-Z12E

Here's the one I have, should be very similar to the 2MP IP version - IPC-HDW5241TM-AS-LED

(remember to switch YT player to 1080p)

Thanks for sharing. The white LED's seem to allow a little more flexibility especially in keeping in color (with the right lighting of course) where you're not forced to use IR and then suffer from IR washout on the face etc. Yes, looking at the Dahua site, seems all VF's are currently IR in the new series and only fixed lens offer the white LED.

I would very much like to test a new IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E against my IPC-HFW5231E-Z12E see how the 2 compare. Similarly would be great to test the IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED (4MP) against the 5231 eyeball.

Ambarella has a new AI SoC that's supposed to be more affordable. It might be what they're using in these cameras.

Wow.. lets hope we get some upgrades / replacements to the following popular models:

- IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE
- IPC-HDW5231R-ZE
- IPC-HFW4239T-ASE
- IPC-HDBW4239R-ASE
- IPC-HFW1831E

What we really need is 8mp 'turret' cams with low light better than the current 2mp champions with Audio :)

Full color with white LED with f1.0 lens will also be appreciated :)
