I am new to the surveillance camera world and I have been researching cameras for my home. I decided on Dahua. However with all these features and protocols it gets confusing, but I do know I want great low light capability or Starlight. One feature I don't know if its worth my money is IVS or advance IVS (SMD, Perimeter, People/Vehicle detection, etc).
Is it built into the camera? Or do I need to have one of their NVRs to make work correctly? Will the camera filter, determine when to record, and alert by the IVS and recordings go to the NAS? Or does the NAS over rule the IVS settings and all settings/alerts/notificaitons controlled by the NAS/ONIVF.
