Sorry if this has been covered. I did a search but couldn't find the topic and I'm confused when data is actually used against my monthly data cap of 1TB. I have a family of four and we no longer have cable so we're streaming a few hundred GBs per month between Netflix, our phones and tablets. If I set my camera up to record 24/7 to my PC drive, does that use wireless data or only if it's being beamed up to the cloud? I have one Amcrest camera at the settings below. Also, any reason why the size greyed out?

Since the camera is on your local network it will not use your data unless you are accessing your camera remotely. For network IP cameras, the software will use whatever resolution the camera is sending, and it's not possible to override that with this setting. If you want to change this you will have to do it within the camera's own browser interface.
