Saw this on the news and I thought it would be a good example

I gather this is a neighbors cam and he was running through his yard to GTFO

Police say a man got home and found a person with a handgun inside. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man who is between 5'6" and 5'8" with a small, thin build and black, neatly-groomed hair.

pretty much useless positioning of this security camera, it only catches people coming out of the house, not going in and has almost no chance of getting a good face shot in either directions at these distances for that lens... This video is almost useless other than a clothing description.. just installing it on the other side of the back door would have made a huge difference.

So think about human behavior and put your cameras where there most effective, not most convenient... this is a very common pitfall for DIYers.

Holy crap! Thanks for sharing.

I have to say though, that was a nice jump over the fence.

You can always tell analog cameras, lol. And that was a nice jump over that fence. I give him a 7.5!
