DS-2CD2332-I (Old Firmware)

Hey Guys,
Hope you can help. For the life of me, I can't this camera to take any new firmware. I am stuck with the ancient V5.2.0 build 140721. Anything I try through the updater, fails.

I was told this was a legit hikvision, but looking at the serial number is shows ****CCCH**** I thought I read somewhere that this would a chinese knock off?

If so, am I screwed?

Any help would be great.

What have you tried ? (eg URL of download source)
And how have you tried it? (eg web GUI, tftp updater)

Not so much as a knock-off as a China region camera sold outside that region, with modded firmware to hide that status.

Not at all - there are various mods that can be done to fully update to the latest firmware, for example :
Unbrick and fully upgrade your R0 / DS-2CD2x32 IP cameras -
R0 / DS-2CD2x32 BrickfixV2 brick recovery and full upgrade tool - enhanced.
