It's a great picture, very little noise too. Unrealistic expectations if you want much better than that. Slightly better possible with tweaking but this is as near to as good as it gets.

Only problem I see is that the world is a bit squished in your screenshots. Like gravity is too strong where you live.

I must be looking at the wrong picture. I wouldn't call this great but it's as expected from smallish sensor and too many pixels. Stick with 4 MP WDR or better yet 2 MP with Hikvision.

yeah i'm thinking of about buying WDR not DWDR might just sell it!

you think this would be ok 2MP http://www.diysecuritycameras.com.au/hikvision/hikvision-ip-cameras/ds-2cd2t22wd-i5/135.html or 4MP http://www.diysecuritycameras.com.au/hikvision/4-megapixels/ds-2cd2t42wd-i5/123.html

i talked to the guy he is the real deal guy buys his camera from CSD http://www.hikvision.com.au/distributionPartner.aspx?stat=1&c_kind=43&c_kind2=45&c_kind3=57 i can't buy without a lic with CSD but DIY i can

and the pricing is ok only $70 more then Ali

For night vision 2MP will be better, less noise but less detail though vs 4MP.

Ds-2CD2T22WD-I / DS-2CD2T42WD-I will be better but not by much. You're throwing your money down the drain doing such a minor upgrade. Better off with external IR illuminators or better still external lighting.

Great image = for a night time image with these or similar cameras, you're never going to get an amazing image with so little light there on this budget for Hikvision branded stuff.

i do believe the IR on DS-2CD2T52-I5 is only 30m so it's probably having a hard time so i might buy one of this

or the smaller one

and see how it goes i remember the guy told me the I5 for some reason came with a 30m ir he can't work it out why probably because of the 4mm lens yet it's is an I5

Yes, the low res cameras with the same size sensor will be better in low light...thats what they are trying to explain to you...

Just to clarify replacing with Hikvision 4mp is not worth it as like DelBoy said there is only slight improvement, those Hikvision cams are using small sensors and their night vision is just shitty like that. If you wanted to stay all Hikvision and need more cams going with 2 MP is better.

However as you already noted cheap no brand cams will have better night vision but they come with other limitations
