    Hi,

Im using a duhua epoe nvr. I have a cat5 cable from my epoe port 1 on the duhua nvr going to a switch 300m away with 4 more ip cameras plugged in. Can epoe port on the back of my nvr be used for more then 1 i.p camera?

No, it does not work like that. A PoE switch can't power another switch and then power more cameras. Generally 1 port - 1 camera.

What ePOE NVR do you have? It must have more than 1 port... ?

You can use a poe port on the back of a NVR to another POE switch and let the second poe switch power your cams. You might have to manually add them but I have done that a few times. Make sure the cams are on the same subnet as your switch in the NVR.

Not the most Ideal situation but On the longer runs I have used a Midspan switch between the runs.

Do you mean cut the cable half way and fit a switch?

Not sure e-poe will perform with a cat 5 cable to begin with. I have not deployed any E-PoE runs yet but have gotten 400' no issue with decent cat6 cable. You might have to scrub your idea and get some cat 6 in there first.

Correct. But again If you only have cat 5 I think you are not going to fare well, should have a minimum of 5e in there for your runs.
