Hi,

So I bought two of those USB charger "cameras" (two different vendors, similar style products). They have web admin pages to login, make changes, etc.

I have them both working with Blue Iris and my android IPCamviewer Pro.

With Blue Iris, I added a new network camera, put the IP, user, password, then did a Find/inspect.

The two different cameras came up as:

Foscam
FI86xx/98xx compatible

They had paths of: /livestream/11?action=play&media=video_audio_data

Questions:

1. Is there a way to have Blue Iris try other compatible camera settings?

2. Is there a way to determine what path it is using (RTSP or other?) (URL Format)?

This doesnt work: http://admin@password:192.168.1.21/livestream/11?action=play&media=video_audio_data

BTW - they both claim to be 1080 cameras but only show up as 720 cameras in blue iris (and the android app) - is this a config problem or just false advertising?

I am not expecting to much out of them given the pricing, but they are neat to play with.

THanks,
Rich

How to add camera to BI that is not in the drop down list
ensure camera no in the video config tab is always set to 1

Thank you for the link. I have used Onvif Device Manager a bunch of times - unfortunately neither of these two cameras are Onvif compliant.

If i use the url: http://192.168.1.24/media/?action=stream

I can get a stream - though it is a 720 stream - not really sure how to get 1080- if it is even capable of doing 1080 (as per advertising claims).

Blue Iris:
I can either set: Onvif / HTTP Live Streaming - path: /media/?action=stream=full - Camera 1 - works no problem (@ 720).

If i do a find / inspect I get this:

Opening 192.168.1.24 port 80...
HTTP Get / request...
Redirected to 192.168.1.24:80
OK
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime
HTTP 404
Opening 192.168.1.24 port 8999...
ONVIF GetSystemDateAndTime
HTTP 12029
Checking for common cameras...
Foscam FI86xx/98xx compatible?
Foscam FI89xx compatible?
Foscam FI89xx compatible detected!
Done

Is there a way to force Blue Iris to keep looking beyond the Foscam?
