Hi.

I am testing a QD900WIFI and I expirience that the IR sensor is "unstable".
When the light becomes "low" it starts to "pump" , so the picture is not good.
I have testet to force modus, outdoor, inndor, IR cut black & white, and the best is to use "IR cut clack and white"
But I would like to use Colors...

I have talked to Escam support, but they do not know about any ways to force IR allways ON.

Can someone help me with some info?

There is some CGI files on the camera, but not mutch, i dont know what to use.
there is also a SDK kit, but i am newbe on sdk programing :)

I have been able to use CGI / URL on some other cameras, for IR and PTZ etc...
So it sould be possible to force it on....

The Escams has ONVIF, I12 and RTSP support.

Any1?

Greetings Eddie

/cgi-bin/hi3510/param.cgi?cmd=getinfra
gives me:
wrong led status

/cgi-bin/hi3510/param.cgi?cmd=setinfra
gives:
[Error]the status value is not set

some cameras has the syntax:
param.cgi?cmd=setinfra&-status=open

But this command does not work.... it shows a dummy web page..

I can't help on the manual control part, but with the "pumping" in low light it is possible that you might be getting IR reflections back at the camera which fools it into thinking it has enough light, which shuts off the IR. Then it doesn't have enough light so it turns it back on. I've seen that often with dusk to dawn lights when they get their own light reflected back at them. A similar thing might be happening with that camera if it can't tell IR from visible light.

You might also not be getting enough power to the camera when the IR kicks in. It might behave strangely when not getting enough power. Try a better power cable and maybe a different power supply.

Depending the way LDR (light sensor) has been implemented on board it may not be connected to some chipset's I/O but directly to LED's control and then signal the chipset it has turned on so motherbaord can set IRCut filter on/off
