Just found this Web site & very grateful that it is here. I'm just venturing into the ip camera world so I hope to gleen a lot of knowledge. I'm helping a friend with a baby / nanny cam for their house and replacing a wired security cctv system in my own home. The friend wants 2 way audio as well as PTZ and night vision. Oh, they have an iPhone to use as a monitor. I'm much easier... I just want the best for my buck. ;-)

Most inexpensive PTZ cameras with or without night vision are junk. I can wholeheartedly recommend a Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-I with a 2.8mm lens, however. It has night vision and two way audio and the view is wide enough to see everything that matters in an entire room without having to fiddle with a slow, cheap PTZ camera. The model with a W on the end even supports WiFi though your friend is most likely much better off wiring it one way or another.
