I have a Amcrest NVR system with several amcrest cameras that is working fine but I was recently gifted several Axis Q6055 ptz cameras and a few Bosch Starlight7000vr cameras. Will Blue Iris work with my existing Amcrest IP cameras as well as the new cameras I was gifted ?

You might want to also look into frigate. It's much less resource intensive than blue iris. Person recogition works well, especially with Google's coral hardware, less than 20ms detection time.

The flexibility in compute hardware is really great. You can run frigate on x86 computer, but also on a simple raspberry pi, or as a VM. And you don't need to run windows! Just get a coral tensor hardware for hardware accelerated detection.

I've run both, but I'm about ready to shut down the windows VM because I don't really look at my BI anymore.

The software is also open source. So it's free to install on free operating system.
