The existing cameras are ancient and looking to replace with I.P cameras and a new NVR.

All advice welcome.

My OPINION, starting with the upper left image and then moving clockwise:

  1. Parking Area 1: 2.8mm lens
  2. Parking Area 2: 4mm lens
  3. Hallway: 6mm (maybe 8mm?) lens
  4. Parking Area 3: 4mm lens (but a 2.8mm lens will give you a wider field of view which you may want to pickup more of the left-hand side)
These are just my personal opinions mahockey...there are other here with a LOT more experience than I. Let's see what they have to say. :)

How critical is night time recording and or identifying faces, license plates and is your budget unlimited? You may want to check out some varifocal/ptz cams. Generally, people here recommend Hikvision, but if night time is important for you then don't bother with their 3MP/4MP budget cams for this type of coverage in the parking lot. If you want to stay on the budget then I recommend to look at Huisun Mini PTZ, but since it's only 2MP for that large of area it may not provide enough detail.
