Hello all,

First post here and am a complete novice with ip cameras. I've been trying to work this for several days, made some progress, but now at a complete stand still... What I'm trying to do is to setup my KKMoon TP-C517WT camera to work with IP Cam Viewer Lite on my iPhone 5S. I'm pretty sure that I set my TP-Link router correctly for port forwarding with:

Service Port: 554
Internal Port: 80
IP Address: 192.168.0.230

Now in the camera's web interface, I think it is set correctly with:

IP Address: 192.168.0.230
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Router: 192.168.0.1
Primary DNS: Same as default router
Secondary DNS: Same as default router
HTTP Port: 80
RTSP Port:554

I can access my camera by inputting 192.168.0.230 in the url OR by inputting my public IP address (i.e. xx.xx.xx.xx:554). So from that perspective, I think I have things setup correctly. Now, where I can't get it to work is with IP Cam Viewer... I tried to add the camera using the following settings:

Type: TP-C517/537 (under unknown brand)
IP/Host: Inputted my public IP address
Port: 554 (HTTP)

However, when I Test the connection, I get a "Error - Could not retrieve data" message! I don't know where the problem lies... Maybe my phone can't display the video? Or my setup above is completely wrong? Could somebody maybe provide some help with this?

Many thanks in advance,

Michael

In case anyone is searching for KKMOON streaming urls, here's a way to find out.

Example - (assuming default ip 192.168.1.10, and admin / blank password)
rtsp://192.168.1.10/user=admin&password=&channel=1&stream=1.sdp?real_stream--rtp-caching=100

Are you trying to access this on your own LAN or remote by WAN? I'm guessing remote?

This is an old post. He might have thrown it away by now. But since I was searching for setup info and couldn't find any, I added my findings ...
