Recently moved to a new house which has bunch of old Hikvision cameras attached to the HikVision NVR (DS-7608NI-I2/8P). I am new to the Hikvision set up and have a few questions which I couldn't figure out from old threads:
1) I am unable to set up continuous recording. I can see the live feed, and have set up templates I am using IVMS-4200 on MaC. When I go to remote playback or search for recordings, it seems to try to search on a storage server. I don't have a storage server set up – Cant I just use internal HDD ?
2) Also is there a way to time bound the recordings ? For ex: setting to keep last 7 days of video ? Template showed weekdays, but no of days to keep the recording for.

PS: I don't have a monitor connected to the NVR. Accessing it via browser and iVMS-4200 on MAC.
