HIK Dome or Mini Dome

Hi,

i compared the dome and the mini dome specs and it looks exactly the same except the pan on the dome is 0 - ~355 while the mini dome is 0 - ~55.
question is - does it really matter for an indoor room corner position??
and if i missed something and there are more differences?
*** it must be the "-s" models that support sound, compared models: DS-2CD2142FWD-I(W)(S) vs. DS-2CD2542FWD-I(W)(S)

Between the two, for aesthetics and if it’s in a residential property rather than commercial I would always advice mini.

thanks, in the picture i see that the dome has much more ir leds, will that make a much difference?

It would make a difference but as the camera will be used indoors IR will reflect very well off the walls and close objects with greater effect than if it was installed outside.

I can’t find the review but nayr on this forum reviewed the following camera which is from the Dahua Starlight range….
