Hello,

I'm planning to mount a camera on my grandparents house. But it would suck if i had to pay for an NVR for just 1 camera. Is it possible to save on an Windows Server 2012 share? They have a server there. Or is it possible to save to my local NAS trough pfSense Tunneling? I need to acces it via the iVMS-4200 software.

Generally, Hikvision cameras will record to a NetHDD share offered over most SMB/CIFS versions or over NFS.
But whether your (unspecified) camera will do so depends on the specific model series, and the version of SMB offered by the server.

Some will also record to micro SD.

But yeah, model of camera would help to answer your query though.
