Hikvision DS-2CD2342WD FTP woes!

I've had it written from the camera to my NAS so know the set up is right and have four other cameras doing exactly the same thing, which is FTPing to a WD DL4100 NAS - images when an event occurs, I've since enlarged the quota for this cam and formatted it and it sends the video files but i just get password or username invalid! Even if i set it to no password mode it still says the same thing!
Not sure of the firmware as yet as I'm on my phone but anyone any ideas please?
