Hello,
Im using DS-2CD2032-I and url http://192.168.1.12/Streaming/channels/102/httppreview to feed ALPR (Licence plate recognition).
The problem is that max resolution in menu is 704x576px and it is too small for good recognition

I've tried to hack (modify POST data) and send 1024x768 POST for MJPEG streem but the camera doesnt take this resolution.

Do you have any idea how to achive better resolution? Maybe co convert online main stream to mjpeg? Do you know such stream converter

Yes. This is what @pozzello was saying.

Blue Iris has a built-in web server and you can pull an mjpeg stream for any camera with this url, replacing "{cam-short-name}" with the short name of your camera as defined when you add the camera to Blue Iris.
Code:
/mjpg/{cam-short-name}/video.mjpg

maybe it is time to buy it. What about license when changing PC OS/hardware?

license is transferable to new hardware, of course.

also, you can try it for free to see if it works for you b4 buying.
just down load and install it, try it out, and pay later when you see it's worth it...
