Hikvision RTSP stream for H265 encoding

Hi All,

I am trying to add the RTSP stream of Hikvision cameras using H264+ and H265 compression.

So far I have been using this stream on H264 cameras rtsp://adminassword@ipaddress/h264/ch1/main/av_stream successfully.

I have tried the following with no luck rtsp://adminassword@ipaddress/h265/ch1/main/av_stream

The only reason I want to use H265 is because I am using 4 MP cameras and want to save on storage.

I don't know about H.265 (I believe that's only available on China cameras). For H.264+, I don't think you need to change the URL. You need to go to the Video tab and turn H.264+ ON.

Thanks for you r reply, Yes they are China cameras I had to use H264 transcoding.
