CAT6 is probably OK to 100M without issue, assuming no damage or poor install, and PoE would be fine as well.
Over 100M and you would probably need to look as fibre or repeaters and the latter introduces more potential places for errors.

Where can one source the Hikvision intercom? I can't seem to find any reputable places in the U.S. and a few elusive Asian listings.

100m is pretty much the hard limit even for shielded Cat6 on a single leg. Repeaters aren't practical in the outdoor/burial type of installs. Fiber seem to be the answer.

    Hi, I got a
    Hikvision DS-KV8102-IM

It is working fine, I can see the stream on the NVR, on internet explorer (although not on IVS4500 on smartphonbe where I receive error code 8200 )

I can also see the stream with
    rtsp://admin:pass@myIP:554/Streaming/Channels/101/

But I wish to see still images, on my other hikvision camera I am able with
    http://admin:pass@myIP/PSIA/Streaming/channels/1/picture

but with this camera the command does not work

    any hint?

I am looking for a good IP-based video intercom solution for my front gate that allows me to have conversations and open the gate from either a station inside the house or from my smartphone. I'd like to have a number pad as part of the video unit at the gate, and a fingerprint sensor would be a bonus (but not necessary). I prefer POE for all components and the gate and home are already fully wired with ethernet and electric. From my research, it appears that both the Hikvision Door Station (e.g., DS-KD8002-VM and related components)as well as the Dahua Video Intercom (at gate, VTO2000A-C with both VTO2000A-K (number keypad) and VTO2000A-F (fingerprint device)) plus related indoor monitors, are both good options. I haven't found any reviews of well these systems actually work. If you have any advice on this or could direct me to any resources, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have about six outdoor Dahua Starlight cameras that I plan to use with Blue Viris -- while this is separate from the intercom system, I mention this in case there's any relevance. Thanks.

What solution did you end up going with and where did you source it?

I am purchasing the Dahua Video Intercom. Andy from Empire can get it, but said there's a lead time of about three weeks to get it. At the recommendation of my installer, I am getting the Dahua NVR because it will enable me to use my intercom monitors for the outdoor cameras as well.

There are the components of the Dahua Video Intercom:
    1) VTO2000A-C 1.3MP Camera Outdoor Station Module
    2) VTO2000A-B 3-button Outdoor Station Module
    3) VTO2000A-K Outdoor Station Keyboard Module
    4) VTO2000A-F IP video intercom outdoor station fingerprint
    5) VTOF003 Front panel for 3 modules
    6) VTOB112 Flush Mounted Box for 3 Modules
    7) VTNS1060A POE Switch for IP System
    8) VTH1520A IP Indoor Monitor
    9) VTH1660CH 10-inch Color Indoor Monitor

This is the Dahua NVR that I ordered: NVR5216-4KS2
