I have an alarm which resembles this,

What is required to connect this to the jumpers located on the back of the NVR?
I believe 12V DC is required, but I don't have that power cable
Also, what alarm cable should I buy?

Thanks

Been dealing with stray cats, squirrels and raccoons eating our tomatoes and cucumbers (not that its a bizarre situation, lol) :D

Arjun,

I used a 12v supply located next to the NVR. I also used a keystone jack. I punched down conductors to the jacks, and ran them like this:
- NC on NVR alarm in contact
- NO on NVR
- Com on NVR
- +12V in
- +12V
- 12V gnd
- 12V gnd

I used cat 6 cable to run from the keystone jack to the sensor. I had it on hand, and figured it was simpler to "standardize", using the same cable and connectors as for the cameras.

At the sensor, I did something similar.
