Hi,

What I have is a no name brand ONVIF Ip camera that I want to find it’s fixed IP address.
Nothing on the box or camera indicates what the address is.
It has a power port and an Ethernet port.
I am using a Windows Vistaon a laptop to do the deed.
What is the best way to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Tubac

Thanks!

How do you wire this?
One Ethernet cable from my pc to the network and another Ethernet cable from the camera to the network,
Plus a 12 volt power supply to the camera?
Is that correct?

Yes!

Even with an (unknown) fixed IP address, an IP camera is "chatty". If ONVIF Device Manager does not find it, you can run a simple tcpdump/wireshark and listen to what the camera has to say. You'll see the (unknown) fixed IP address appearing in the streams.

One thing I have come to rely on is the free 'Fing' app on my phone to show me what is connected to my network
