How to know if it's chinese version?

Hi!

I've read that if in the serial number appears "CH" it's a chinese cam with hacked firmware.

I have one with this S/N: DS-2CD2032-I20141224CCWR495671778

No CH but CC, it's still chinese or what does this mean?

If not chinese, what is the latest firmware I can put in? Currently it has:

Firmware Version: V5.2.0 build 140721
Encoding Version: V5.0 build 140714

It's not Chinese but leave it alone and on V5.2.0

The latest firmware isn't better!

So, no changes that worthwhile the upgrade from 5.2.0 to 5.3.0?

You might be able to "downgrade" to 5.1.6, that would be better, an actual upgrade.

v5.1.0 is good firmware... and every firmware that's newer, is worse. Hikvision wanted to close the region gap firmware so WR would buy locally. STAY with your current firmware and be happy. Don't brick your camera.
