How to remove motion highlight from recorded video

Hi There,
I recently recorded a vandal with the software, but the video highlights the image of his face to a point that I cannot recognise. Is there a way to remove the highlighted overlay on a recorded video? Everytime I convert the video to mp4, the highlight overlay is still there. Please help asap as the police need the video.

were you using direct to disk to record? if not, the overlay is in the video...the overlay is there for testing, you should not have it enabled...

direct to disk will significantly reduce cpu consumption...you will need to use the cameras time overlay as the blue iris overlay will not be recorded..

Just to clarify, since your recordings were not direct to disk before, the overlays were encoded straight into each video frame and you can't remove them now.
