I have a hikvision panovo camera " DS-2DP1636Z-D" ... unfortunately by mistake I have plugged the power of the camera in a 220v outlet... what kind of damage that may occur... is the camera still alive ... by the way.. when I plug in the whole power cut off and the circuit breaker switch turns down

Please let me know your opinions

Many thanks

Welcome @Hamad

How did you plug it into a 220v outlet? With an AC adapter?

Thanks for reply... I plugged in directly to AC power plugs and sockets like the one in the attachment

But when I plugged in the circuit breaker switch turns down

If the reset on outlet is tripping or turn off it probably shorted out the adapter....replace it and try again on an outlet with correct voltage

According to the spec sheet, that camera has a 36VDC power supply and uses a maximum of 120W (44W of which is for the heater).

I can't find any info on the power supply that the camera comes with. Can you post a picture of that?

The only information I could find was "This camera can be powered by a 36V DC power supply or 120W PoE supply" … That just don't sound right! That would be 2.5 Amps to get you to 120W (POE) and I don't think the ethernet cable is going to stand for that... Dunno... Even if the total was 44W, with the heater on, it would still be drawing ~ 0.91 AMPS.... ??? Still a lot for the cable I think..

i sure hope the OP didn't plug the $5k camera directly into 220V AC...
power supply is relatively cheap. that camera, not so much...

well, it was couple months ago now, and the OP hasn't updated, so he's either replaced the power supply or realized he totally fried that thing...
