Installed a camera to catch a teen girl from sneaking out of her bedroom window using a Trendnet camera and my Synology NAS as my sever. I used pre-made Ethernet cables and a cobbled up installation. Anyway, that worked as a deterrent, until, said teen discovered other uncovered windows for her egress. To make a long story short, I chose to add 3 more cameras to keep her in.

It was pointed out that I should make my own cables so I don't have bundles of EXTRA wires curled and looped all over the place. So, I ordered the material to make my own cables. Again, to make a long story short, I tried a dozen times to put those tiny connectors onto those really tiny wires, but no luck. Guess my eyes are not a good as they used to be.

Anyway, I turned this project over to my OTHER 17 year old, granddaughter (not the said teen). She did a fantastic job installing the other 3 cameras, since I am reluctant to get up on ladders anymore.......

I made a video of how she ran the Cat6 cables for the cameras.
