iOS Hik-Connect app Notification - No Sound

Hello,

I have installed a hikvision doorbell DB1 and conected it to the Hik_cooenct app. When the door bell rings a notification pops up however I have to tap the notification before it actually rings. i.e. The Hik-Coonect has app has to be in focus. If it is running in the background i don't get a doorbell sound.

Any ideas on how to have it ring?

Are you using an Android? On my Hik-Connect app I click More (bottom right), then Settings, then the 2nd option is Notification Sound. Check that

My android works fine. However, when I am gone no one hears the doorbell so I want to the ipad to also ring. The issue above is on IOS 12 on the ipad. Seems weird that it would show up a notification but not make a sound.

DOH ! Homer moment. My daughter had put the ipad in silent mode in the control panel. Even though the volume was on it would only work for apps in focus.
