Is there anything that's comparable to a Maximus or Ring security light/camera combo that is ip based? Would like to replace some security and porch lights with something like this but want to have it wired to my NVR and not pay a subscription.

Any thoughts? Any manufacturers working on something like this?

You mean a security camera with flood lights? Why not just buy a good IP camera and add secondary motion sensor flood or IR lighting to it?

Granted there are some cases where it may make sense to have a single device but, just like the doorbell cams IMO, overall I'd rather have the lights where they best need to be and the cams where they best need to be. Motion-activated lights are cheap and reliable for the most part. After doing systems work and home automation forever, I've come full circle to minimizing complications wherever I can. If I can put in a simple dumb sensor that serves the purpose, generally that's the route that I go now.

Yeah, I know that doesn't really answer your question but you said any thoughts so... ; )
