This is a Chinese Grandstream 3mp outdoor cam. A few days ago the color went bonkers. It went from vibrant to washed out almost to the extent of disappearing completely. I've reset to default and monkeyed with every video setting with no joy. Anybody ever experience this?

I don't know if I can blame the infrared filter for that... but it is my only guess. I trust it has been consistently like this, and it isn't just due to the lighting?

Im going to second bp's diagnosis...you can try hitting the camera to try and get the filter unstuck...

Initially it flip flopped back and forth but then became stuck like it is not. Is the ir filter a moving part?

I suspect the reason it isn't entirely discolored is image post-processing attempting color correction/white balance.

Well hell. It rained this afternoon and now the color is back as good as ever. The sudden temp drop musta done it. I guess it is the ir filter is sticking. Next time it does it I'll whack it with a screw driver.
