Hi,

Not sure if you have a server issue Fender but for the last few days I'm finding connections to IP Cam Talk problematic.

Sometimes it takes ages for google to resolve the address. Other times I can be on IP Cam Talk and it's seemingly working fine and click on a thread link and nothing happens even after multiple clicks. It then eventually goes right after time.

Have tried both Firefox and Vivaldi (Chrome based), and had the same issue.

Also, don't appear to have the issue with any other website suggesting the issue may be at the server rather than my connection end.

I suspect that you may be bumping into the overnight (to the US) system maintenance window.
I'd guess the databases are being optimised, space reclaimed etc. @fenderman may confirm.
I find that during the UK early to mid morning, performance is pretty sluggish.

Next time it happens can you please run a speedtest.net and share your results?

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

During each UK morning, say 8am (GMT+0) for a couple hours, the site is usually quite sluggish, other sites are normal.
It can take up to 10 secs for a new page.
Presumably you have maintenance tasks running during quiet times?

Yes, we do. We also will be getting another new server sooner than later.

Just out of curiosity what is it running on now and is it dedicated or vps?

I ran one this morning - 7mbs down, 1mbs up. Ping 27ms (to their server). That's a good result for my connection.

That's about the best I get. 3.5-4.5mbs was the usual until recently. Only have broadband, not fibre (it's too expensive) and I'm a couple of miles from the exchange. My ISP doesn't regard it as faulty unless it falls below 2mbs.

Yes, periodic outages and times when it's slow to respond. ajax type content especially also search at times. Sometimes this results in a little grey box in the corner instead of whatever action should have happened.
Also plenty of xf "method not implemented errors"

Tonight it was unreachable for me for a while around 7:25pm mst, but I could access it through a VPN. tracert attached.

also throw a
Code:
<?php echo date("Y"); ?>
or equiv. to replace 2016 in the template.

I had a few instances yesterday where new post's would pause up to 15 seconds, causing impatient me to cause 1 or 2 duplicate posts.

Thanks for the report, looking into this.
Doing it again today. Some method not implemented errors before about 20 minutes where it was unreachable. I tried a different route via VPN with a couple different endpoints and it was up, but search still yielded a method not implemented error and refreshing a page / loading a few different pages sometimes my requests through the VPN timed out too.

This time it served up a straight 501 with 'method not implemented"
