Hi all,

Please i need your help, since a little while I try to connect 2 cams HFW4421E in the poe ports of the NVR4208-8P-4K but without result.
If I modify the parameters from "Private" to "ONVIF" I have the image of the camera, but if I reboot the NVR it takes by default the parameter "Private"
Why this cam model does not work in this mode by default ??
There is something to have with the firmware ??
Very strange
Thank you in advance for your help

Location
Sydney, Australia
I have the 5216-4KS2 (no PoE) and all my cameras have been added with the manufacturer set to "Private" and I am able to display the feeds without an issue. Not sure what the problem is but hopefully someone will be able to provide some insight as what you could try next.

Hi all community,

Thank you very much for your answer.
Very strange the behavior of this NVR4208, in addition I just try in other NVR and the HFW4421E is detected immediately.
Later I would put Web interface screenshots of the cam and the NVR.

Best regards

Hi all,

I post here some screeshoots of the web interface of the cam and the NVR in order to better understand the problem.
I even tried to change encode but nothing the NVR does not detect it, finally it detects it because the ip is displayed but it remains offline.
The only way to get image from camera is to pass the setup from "private" to "onvif" and cam is online, but at the next reboot the NVR takes by default "private" = offline:confused:
Another thing, in all the NVR that I saw the part of the menu to set the cameras is called "Remote" and in this one it is written "Registration" ... Funky firmware ???

Again thanks a lot for your help

Yes I did it several times in the NVR. For the camera should I do it in the menu or is there a reset button?

Thanks

It is done, but without result.
In addition I think the problem does not come from the camera but from the NVR as it works in another NVR and in my network router.
I could even add it to my doorbell intercom Dahua

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem as you do.
I have tried everything to get the cameras to connect to the NVR but no go.
I feel the problem is the NVR as the 4422s will work well with other Dahua model NVR 's.
I have sent screenshots etc to the supplier in China for an answer yesterday.
Regards

Hi everybody,

What is your firmware version ??
Have you ever tried to update your camera with cor35vet modified firmwares ??
I thank him for his great work and for the benefit of the community
The link of the thread is here: Dahua Firmware Mod Kit + Modded Dahua Firmware
And the firmware for the HFW4421E is the DH_IPC-HX4X2X-Themis.bin
For me once the camera updated it works wonderfully

Oh yes like me, look at my screenshots in the first posts.
Your camera is part of the same family as mine "Themis (2nd gen) cameras", looks in the discussion thread of cor35vet.
Try to update it according to the correct procedure.
For me by updating it solved the problem with the addition of the superb IVS option
