Out of my 8 Dahua cams I have three of the IPC-T5442TM-AS and every once in a while they are sending Blue Iris 5 an ONVIF event BI is logging as seen below:

I've gone to the timestamps of these events and I can see in every instance that the video/audio is freezing for around 5 seconds. I don't know if the cams are sending a ONVIF saying they are having a problem compressing the video/audio or if there's some other issue. So far it appears to only be happening withe the three IPC-T5442TM-AS cams. I briefly looked to find out if there's a database the tells me what 00002ee2 is supposed to mean; no luck. Anyone else seeing this?

Here are the video encoding settings for one of them. It's not happening frequently enough were I can change settings then see the result...might take hours upon hours for the ONVIF event to happen.

Are you using event triggers from the camera in Blue Iris?

I have a 5442TM-AS and had problems with the bit rate at anything lower than 8192, but I do use VBR. The problem was artifacts in the video and not events request related, though.

I'm using IVS in the camers (all cams, not just the IPC-T5442TM-AS cams) therefore I have PullPointSubscription enabled in BI5. This is not artifacts related and unrelated to BI5 other than BI5 is simply logging ONVIF events it's receiving from the cams.

The cams are having a hiccups and reporting it via ONVIF events. Trying to figure out why these cams are having a hiccups every now then then. Almost like they can't seem to process the video/audio stream fast enough to keep up or something. Wish I knew what the code meant.

I saw the chart, tried the numbers and still had problems at anything other than 8192. Those charts are guides, not written in stone numbers.

I'm using IVS as well and have had no problems with it. What firmware are you running? I'm on V2.800.0000000.10.R, Build Date: 2019-11-18

Yes, I'm using the same firmware version. Since you have the same cams/firmware/IVS I'd be interested in knowing what your settings are and for grins I'll try them out. Thanks!

I made a liar out of myself. It's CBR and not VBR. I plead old age and having all my other cameras on CBR

HEY EVERYONE, HE'S USING AN NVIDIA CARD!!!! :secret:LOL!!!

If you don't mind take a look at your BI Status > Messages to see if you have any of those green triangles with exclamation marks. I would not have know of those if I had not looked...BI don't care, it just logs them without alerting you.

Nope, not a single green triangle. The only errors I see are a POS Reostink dropping out once in a while and an FTP error from WU.

At least you didn't use bold and underline italics :p

Turns out it's not just the IPC-T5442TM-AS as I have a IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M reporting the same code to BI. The FrontDoor/Walkway is a IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M. Anyone know what the 00002ee2 code is?

Did you figure this out I am still having issues with one camera I can not figure it out?

1 25/05/2020 23:01:57 Backdoor Events: request 00002ee2
1 25/05/2020 23:02:13 Backdoor Events: request 00002ee2

On my alerts that I am playing, it looks as though it has just lost connection and missies the recording entirely then picks the connection back up. I have two of the same camera but it only happens to one of them.

Well mine seems to be a signal loss I scrub through around the time of the error and the recording stops. The image just stays still and dims.
